One of the famous stories is about the Yapese stone money quarry
in Palau. The unique Yapese limestone money was quarried in Palau
and carried 200 miles to Yap by canoe. Stone money was as large
as 13 ft in diameter.

5. Bai in Old Palau
The bai or men's meeting house is the most ornamented of all Micronesian
indigenous buildings. The gable ends as well as the interior tie
beams were carved in low relief and painted with stories and legends.
